Booster Club Membership

Falcon Fans,

Fall is quickly approaching and with it comes another year of Falcon Athletics. West Sioux offers many opportunities - 21 including dance and cheerleading - to our student athletes. We would like to invite you to show your continued support of West Sioux athletics, as well as the development of the next generation of responsible citizens, for the 2018-2019 season. The Athletic Boosters give 100% of the money donated and raised back to the West Sioux Athletic programs.

We want our student athletes to be successful in both the classroom and in their sport. Over the past year West Sioux has shown that it excels in both arenas.  First, 13 of our 21 programs achieved team academic achievement honors this past school year.  The GPA of all varsity team members is used to find an average team GPA.  Nine of our programs achieved Distinguished Academic Achievement, which includes a team GPA between 3.25-4.0, another four programs earned Excellence in Academic Achievement with GPA’s between 3.00-3.25.  To go along with their academic success, our teams also enjoyed success in competition.  Our football team won their first ever State Championship with a victory in the Class A State Championships held in Cedar Falls.  They also set a state record for points scored in a season and 8 players were honored with All State status.  Our Girls Basketball team also qualified for the State Tournament for the first time since 2012. The wrestling team continued the success of our programs by qualifying for the State Dual Tournament and placing 6th overall as well as sending 5 individuals to the State Meet. Adam Allard won his second consecutive State Championship along with 3 other wrestlers placing in the top 8 as the team finish tied for 9th in the final State Tournament team standings.  The track and field program followed as the boys 4X100m relay team qualified for the prestigious Drake Relays. They, along with the boys sprint medley, Jake Lynott in the long jump and 400m dash, and Kade Lynott in the long jump represented West Sioux in the State Track and Field Championships this spring.  Numerous other athletes have earned All-District, All-Conference, and Academic awards throughout the year.
